Abstract

In this paper we discuss an existing dengue
disease model with preventive control to minimize the
contact between host and vector. The model is further
developed involving the insecticide control to the vector.
The aim is to obtain an optimal preventive strategies with
minimal cost. We present the optimal control via the
Pontryagin Minimum Principle. The obtained optimality
system is derived by Hamiltonian function.
